The formula, in plain English
Per visit = $45 + (lawn sq ft ÷ 1,000 × $6). Monthly = per-visit × 4.33 for weekly, × 2.17 for every-two-weeks, × 1 for monthly visits.
Worked example
A 5,000 sq ft lawn on weekly service: per visit = 45 + 30 = $75.00. Monthly = 75 × 4.33 = $324.75. Every-two-weeks would be $75 × 2.17 = $162.75/month.
Tips
- Adjust for the extras. Edging, bagging, hills, gates, and overgrown grass all cost more than a flat open rectangle — this is the base, not the ceiling.
- Price seasonal cleanups separately. Spring and fall cleanups are different jobs from weekly mowing; bundling them hides their cost.
- Bill monthly, not per visit. Flat monthly billing smooths your income across rainy weeks and keeps clients from doing visit math.

Why does frequency change the monthly total?
Fewer visits mean taller grass and more work per visit, but the monthly total still drops because you are simply there less often. Most lawns do best on weekly or biweekly service.
